Faux Cable Knit Beanie {Knit Pattern}

Method- Knit 

Skill Level-  Intermediate

Needle- 8 mm/ US 11 circular needles with a 16-inch cord.

Other-  1 stitch marker, Yarn Needle, Scissors

Yarn- Size 6 Super Bulky yarn

I used lion brands hometown USA

Total yardage: 81

ABBREVIATIONS

K                      Knit

P                       Purl

RTS                 Right Twist Stitch

PATTERN

CAST ON 48, PLACE ST MARKER ON RIGHT NEEDLE.

ROUNDS 1-7: *K1, P1* REPEAT AROUND TO CREATE RIBBING.

ROUND 8-9: *P2, K2* REPEAT AROUND.

ROUND 10: *P2, RTS* REPEAT AROUND

ROUND 11: *P2, K2* REPEAT AROUND

ROUNDS 12-29 REPEAT ROUNDS 8-11

DECREASING

ROUND 30: *P1, K2TG* REPEAT UNTIL LAST 3 STS. P1,K2. (36 STS)

ROUND 31: K2TG AROUND. (18 STS) TIE OFF LEAVING A LONG TAIL.

USING A YARN NEEDLE AND YOUR TAIL, CLOSE THE TOP OF YOUR HAT BY WEAVING THE TAIL INTO

THE REMAINING STS. AS YOU WEAVE IN EACH ST, TAKE OUT THE KNITTING NEEDLES. ONCE YOU HAVE GONE IN EACH STITCH, AND THE KNITTING NEEDLES ARE REMOVED, PULL THE YARN TAIL TIGHTLY. KNOT YARN AND SEW IN LOOSE END ON THE INSIDE OF YOUR HAT.

    What is the finished brim size of this hat

      Hi there, the brim should measure 18 inches around, the ribbing pattern will stretch about 3-4 inches to fit adult size heads.
