
Hi there friends! If you have been following my crafting journey on Instagram (for awhile!) you might have seen this beauty on my feed! I created this pattern in the Fall of 2017, and it has become one of my best selling patterns! My goal this year is to bring my previous patterns to the blog for FREE! Exciting news right?! So what better pattern to start off with then one of my favorites, The Lorelai Beanie!

Materials:
5 mm H hook
Size 4 medium worsted weight yarn. (Approximately 190/200 yards of yarn)
Measuring tape
Scissors
Yarn needle
Stitches used:
SC (single crochet)
Ch (chain)
Sl St (slip stitch)
DC2TG- (Double Crochet 2 Together)
SC2TG (single crochet 2 together)
FRTRC (Front Post Treble Crochet) *If you need help with this stitch refer to my how to tutorial HERE

Brim Instructions
Row 1- Ch 7, HDC in 2nd Ch from hook. HDC in each ch across. (6 HDC)
Row 2- Ch 1, HDC in every st the BACK LOOPS ONLY (6 HDC)
Rows 3-36 Repeat Row 2 until the length of your brim is 20 inches (lay flat, and do NOT stretch when measuring the length!)
Once your brim is 20 inches, Sl St both ends together.
Rotate hat to now work in the round: Ch 1, HDC as evenly as possible around the top of the brim. Sl St to the beginning sc. (71 HDC)
Body of the Beanie Instructions:
Round 1- CH 2, DC in first st, *FPTRC around HDC from the previous round. DC in next st.* Repeat ** until end of round. Sl St to beginning Ch 2.

Round 2- CH 2, *FPTRC around the DC from the previous round, DC in next st.* Repeat ** until end of the round. Sl St to beginning Ch 2.
Round 4-12- Keep Repeating Rows 1-2
Round 13- CH 2, DC2TG around, DC in last st. 36 DC
Round 14- CH 1, SC2TG around. 18 SC
Tie off leaving long tail. Using your tail and yarn needle, weave in and out of the remaining sts at the top, and pull closed. Knot the yarn at the end to secure closure.
Weave in any and all loose ends and you are done!!
