Hi Friends! I am so excited to share my latest creation with y’all! I have been seeing crochet earrings all over the place, and I really had my heart set on some dream catcher styled ones but sadly didn’t find a pattern. So being the maker that I am, I tried my hands at my own and this is the result! I am totally in love with them, they are hoops, dangly, and it is like I have mini Dream Catchers hanging from my ears 🙂
Fun Fact: I am Choctaw Native American, so I love finding things that loop back to my native roots!

Let’s jump into all the materials you will need!

Pattern: (We will be working in the round!)
Create a magic circle
1-Ch 1, Place 8 SC in magic circle, sl st to beginning SC.
2-Ch 1, SC in first st,* CH 3, SC in next st.* repeat * * around. Ch 3 sl st to beginning SC.
3-Sl st once around the first CH 3 from previous round, Ch 1 SC around the top of that Ch 3. *Ch 4, SC around the top of the next CH 3.* Repeat * * around. Ch 4 ,sl st to beginning SC.
Sl St twice around the first Ch 4. Now it is time to get your earring finding.
Take your hook out, place yarn piece down then lay the earring finding on top of it. Place hook back in loop on the crochet piece, in front of earring, with the working yarn behind the earring.
If you need visual help with this part you can find it on minute 9:17 in my youtube tutorial!
You should be on the left side of the “clasp” (The piece on top of the earring)
CH 1 around the earring. SC at the top of that CH 4 & the earring.
*Place 4 SC around JUST THE EARRING FINDING (move your yarn piece off to the side)
Pick up your yarn piece, insert hook under the next CH 4, create a SC around the yarn piece and earring. *
Repeat Last two steps around. Be sure to move the SC around the earring to spread them out as you go.
Note: It will get tighter as you near the last few CH 4 loops. Be sure to pull the thread tighter when placing the SC around the CH 4 loops, and keep spreading out the SC around the earring band.
Once you reach the end, tie off and weave in your two ends.
Repeat steps for your second earring!
Attaching Earring Pieces Together

Now is the time to grab your fishhook earring pieces, 6 mm jump rings, and your pliers.
First take your jump ring and pliers, you will use your pliers to bend open the loop ring at the little “slit/opening”. Bend it just a little bit so the opening is big enough to slide the little loop at the base of your fishhook earring, and the loop at the top of you hoop earring finding.
Slide on your fishhook earring piece first, then your hoop earring finding.
Take your pliers and bend the loop ring back to close it, and get that slit/opening as small as possible.
Repeat these steps for your second earring.
Adding Fringe (optional)

I took a 2.5-3 inch piece of card stock paper, and wrapped my Crochet Thread around it multiple times.
Cut one end.
Using my B Hook, and 3 pieces of thread I just cut- I fold the thread pieces in half with a loop at the top.
Insert my hook into one of the SC along the bottom of my earring. Loop the thread onto my hook. Pull up a loop
Wrap the 6 pieces around my hook and pull them all through the loop to complete the stitch.
Repeat those steps in each st, or every other st.
You can trim your fringe in any style you want! You can do a rounded cut, or a sharp angled cut! Whatever style you would like!
