Attaching Buttons
Lay your piece flat long ways.

Pick up the right end, fold down and over towards the center.

This is the side we will attach your buttons! Grab your 3 buttons, yarn needle and thread or yarn to sew on your buttons. Make sure your yarn needle can fit through your button hole! I used crochet thread and a thin darning needle to sew on these buttons.
Place your first button at the bottom corner. Sew on.
Take the left side of your piece and fold down over top the right side. Use the width of the left side to see where to place your top button. You want the bottom point to have a button (where the two ends come to a point at the bottom) another button at the top of your left side edge, and a button in between the two.

Refer to minute 8 of this youtube video for more visual help for button placement.
This is how your finished Cowl should look!

I would love to see all the button cowls you make! Be sure to tag me on Instagram @sierrascraftycreations 🙂 Happy Crocheting friends!!
Hello!! So I’m working my first time through this pattern. I watched your tutorial on YouTube first and noticed there’s a step missing in the written pattern. The end of Row 2 needs the specification of SC in the last stitch before chaining 1 and turning. 😊
