Hi friends! Exciting news: I have re-opened my E-Course teaching you everything you need to know about making faux fur poms! These little furry babes have become a staple for our handmade beanies! You can find the course HERE!
I have handmade and sold my own faux fur poms for a little over 3 years now, and I learned A LOT! Being apart of the maker community I realized that a lot of people were struggling with making their own poms. They couldn’t find quality fur, or they did not know how to properly cut the fur they did find, and things of that nature. Since these were questions I kept seeing and getting in my inbox, I decided I should put all my pom knowledge in one place.
I wanted to give my fellow makers all the information they needed to be successful in making gorgeous fluffy poms, and to do that I would need to give out some “trade secrets” aka the exact places I got my fur! That is why I decided to go with the paid E-Course route, rather then a free blog post giving just broad information about poms.
I spent weeks creating this course, to include EVERYTHING you need to make poms. I first released this course last spring in 2019, and had it open for just a few months. I only paid the platform “Teachable” for a few months of service (because to be candid it is a bit pricey) and I had no idea how this concept of a paid E-Course would go. This was my first course, but thankfully y’all loved it!
I got such great feedback about the course, and started seeing the students make some stunning poms! After the course closed I got a ton of messages asking for it to come back. So I took a leap of faith and decided to open it for the year!
But don’t just take my word for it, here are some reviews from a few makers who bought the course 🙂

Jessica @Jbkcrochet
“Before taking Sierra’s Faux Fur Pom Course She was my favorite pom supplier. I couldn’t get enough of her poms they looked fantastic and were great quality. I knew I wanted to learn how to make poms but I had no idea where to start looking for faux fur suppliers, what fur to use, what tools I needed, or even what method to use. When I saw that Sierra was offering an E course I knew she was the person I wanted to learn from. Taking the course was a huge game changer for me! She shared her favorite suppliers, how to choose the right fur, what tools I would need, step by step videos of how to assemble the poms and even tips on how to set pricing! I felt so confident in my abilities after taking this course and started selling poms right away. I am so appreciative of Sierra for making this course and for sharing her knowledge; it has completely changed the direction of my maker journey and I couldn’t be happier about it!”

“My first ever attempt at making poms went so badly I swore off Pom making… until I got Sierras course a year later. She broke down all the steps into quick and easy to follow videos. Not only did she show how to make the poms, but she gives you all the tools you need to start selling poms with this course. She shares the exact furs she uses and how to find your own furs online, the exact materials she uses for shipping orders, and even a pricing formula to take away any stress we normally feel over pricing our items. Sierra’s course is full of videos, printable instructional PDFs, and Pom pattern templates. She really did cover everything you need to know about making poms!”

“First off, Sierra’s Pom Course is AMAZING! I had heard about it from Taylor (Taylor Lynn Crochet) and had debated whether it would be worth it. Well, I’m so glad I went for it! She tells you everything you need to make beautiful faux fur poms! Tools, templates, printables, even where she gets some of her own amazing furs from. You can’t go wrong with this course you guys! After watching her course, I was able to go out and buy faux fur, knowing exactly what I needed to look for and be confident in my purchase, and be able to make my own poms as soon as I got home. I absolutely recommend her pom course, so much so that I have my own affiliate link now to direct people to her. RUN and get the course while you can! It’s completely worth it.”

“I loved Sierra’s course! I was so intimidated to work with fur and Sierra gave so many tips. I’m excited to provide my own customizable poms to help my market game for next fall/winter.”
Take a look the screenshot below to see all the sections included in the course! I even added some more content to the course to make it even better! The new sections are marked “NEW”.

As you can see there is a ton of information packed into this course! I really wanted to cover ALL my bases, and make sure everyone who bought this course would learn a lot from it.
